QUILT AS YOU GO W/GEORGETTE AUG 7 SAT 10:30-4 $25 This has been a popular class in the past so we decided to offer it again. Georgette will show you this great technique and the great part is when you’re done, you’re done. You quilt it as you go.
GARDEN PARTY JACKET W/LYNN AUG 12 THURS 10:30-4 $25 This lightly fitted princess jacket will cause a Sensation wherever it is worn. Chose a theme fabric and pick colors from that fabric to create a party to wear.
ELECTRIC QUILT W/LYNN & GEORGETTE AUG 16 MON 10:30-12:30 Georgette and Lynn both have the EQ program and have been playing around with it a little, but they’d like to learn more. What better way to learn than in a class with others. You’ll bring your computers and the program to class and just play and learn together. Sounds like fun!
EMB. EXTRAORDINAIRE CLUB W/NANCY W AUG 19 THUR 10:30-4:00 During this session we will be featuring the Floral Visions Adventure. This is a new collection which is fabulous and from this we will be Creating quilt blocks that will be one of a kind. A project like this will teach you new techniques using the version 6 software. Don’t Miss out the class is limited to 8. DAISY RETREAT W/GEORGETTE AUG 20-22 FRI-SUN $75 Georgette is using the Painted Daisy pattern designed by our very own Nancy Schwalm. This pattern is so cute, of course Nancy did her original quilt using the hand applique technique, Georgette will show you how to make it using the fusible applique technique by machine. You’ll have two and a half days to work on this project so you’ll have a good chance of getting your top done or at least well on it’s way.
CATHERINES STAR W/MARGIE AUG 24 TUE 10:30-4 $25 This quilt is a perfect example of how to take an antique quilt and modernize it (well not to much). This was a signature quilt pattern and you would sign your name on the light colored material in the center strip. With the new triangle paper this quilt is a snap. I will bring the antique quilt to class so you can view how we changed the pattern. PAINTING & STAMPING W/PAM AUG 26 THURS 10:30-4 $25 Pam is the amazing and talented designer of the painted sweatshirts that we carry in our gift room. She’ll share her techniques and secrets of these masterpieces with you in class. You’ll be creating your own in no time.
CONNECTORS UP W/MARGIE AUG 28 SAT 10:30-4 $25 This is a review of Mary Ellen Hopkins book Connecting Up 4. We’ll use half square and quarter square triangle paper to make these examples. This should make you an expert with all kinds of blocks.
